ABOUT CVL ‘WALK-THE-TALK’ ROAD-SHOW
The caption ‘WALK THE TALK’ literarily means: ‘PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH’, do what you say: A wake-up call to action for all Nigerians to walk their talk.
Walk The Talk is a values re-orientation outreach programme, a change movement, an initiative of Centre for Values in Leadership (CVL) to preach its leadership values while reaching out to correct some social, economic and political challenges in our society today. It will involve a roadshow/walk with an estimated number of One Thousand participants determined to ensure that citizens of our dear country begin to do things right.
The proposed date is Saturday December 6, 2014 by 07:00am. Assembling point is National Stadium Surulere. The walk will terminate at the Nu Metro Cinemas in Surulere.
This will be followed by a cinemas-seminar session where the participants will watch a selected movie about Martin Luther King Jr. “I Have a Dream” speech. The movie is expected to impact leadership values in the participants. Research has it that majority of youth and even older members of our country indulge in cinema hangout 45%-50% of the time in mostly pleasurably endeavor.
The idea of retiring at the cinemas is one of the ways to encourage a relaxed mood in learning culture while driving home a very positive message – Walk-the-talk, do what you say.
All participants are expected to pick up their Walk-The Talk kit before the event date. It costs the sum of N3, 000 per Kit. However, students and CVL Club Members will receive N 1,000 discount for the walk-the-talk kit.
Walk The Talk Kit contains; a branded sling bag, T-shirt, face cap, towel, water bottle, wrist band and movie ticket. Light refreshment would also be served.
Walk along side Prof. Pat Utomi, top Nollywood Actors & Actresses, and many more.
