Happy New Year!
Last year was one of many firsts and the continuation of many traditions at CVL.
The CVL Role Model Forum (RMF) had one of its best years to date – with new speakers sharing their life stories and mentoring young professionals on various stages of their career journey. Our CVL Leader Without Title (LWT) series also had a memorable year, honouring legends in multiple industries who have had an impact on our society – from manufacturing and agriculture to banking and education. Review past editions of the CVL LWT to see the full range of prestigious honourees.
The Agriculture Sector Celebration was also a resounding success. Well-attended and with much lauded guest speakers including Eng. Umar Bindir, it was a memorable evening celebrating organisations that have positively contributed to the sector in Nigeria.
In 2015, CVL also introduced the Young Entrepreneurship Training Programme (YETP) in Ajegunle to complement government’s efforts to build new businesses and curb unemployment in Nigeria. YETP is a One-Year intensive entrepreneurship development programme initiated for community youths between the ages of 18 – 35 years who are running small businesses (or have the intention to own and run a sustainable enterprise) to provide them with business support.
