CVL (Centre for Values in Leadership) initiated the Leader Without Title (LWT) Leadership Tribute Colloquium to honour outstanding sector leaders for their special contributions in the sector where they worked. This programme is in keeping with our commitment to affect the generation next to be leaders without care for title. It is honour for people who are 70 years and above who have left a mark worth emulating.
This programme serves as a great platform to celebrate excellent leadership in service, extolling the virtues that distinguished the honorees and made them outstanding sector leaders and encouraging younger ones to emulate such virtues.
The event samples and showcases role models, values-driven and selfless leaders and icons who lived out their career with great dedication and commitment to add value and contribute in shaping our society for the common good.
The key objectives of the programme are:
- To gestate a Think Tank by setting expert discussion of an issue related to the sector of the honouree.
- To provide mentoring and modeling for participants
- To inculcate in the Generation Next (Youth) the spirit of selfless service, hard work, integrity, Culture of excellence, value transmission, contentment and self-sacrifice
- To promote good work ethic and professionalism in Nigeria and in Africa.
- To educate young people with the right knowledge on different sectors
- To provide a platform for teaching and documenting history and sharing life-changing biographies
- To encourage young people to be leaders without care for title
Properly speaking, LWT can be described as an award, an honor, a recognition and a celebration of great achievers. It cuts across every sector of the society to pay tribute to men and women who have shown themselves to be pace setters and change agents.
We need the contribution and support of the public sector, corporate Nigeria and well-meaning individuals to showcase to Nigerian’s and indeed the whole world, our own good products in the form of leaders who have contributed in shaping our society. Leaders who are deserving of the highest honour and award. Your support will go a long way to sustain this programme for continued impact.
