In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month, the CVL Widow Support Centre (WSC) is hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness Programme on Friday 23rd October, 2015 at the CVL Building, 6 Balarabe Musa Crescent, Off Samuel Manuwa Street, By 1004 2nd Gate, Victoria Island Lagos – from 9:00am – 1:00pm.
The theme of the programme is: “Curbing Breast Cancer: Awareness, Checks and Prevention” and will feature a gathering of 500 women and other health practitioners’, experts and pharmaceutical companies in the country.
CVL will be working with the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy (CECP), Lake Shore Cancer Centre; Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN); organizations championing the fight against cancer in Nigeria. 500 women will be educated on the danger of cancer, 250 women will be given physical and cervical cancer examination and the women will be referred to various mammographic cancer centres for further screening.
